You get more than well trained security officers with CPPG.

We offer a broad range of security solutions, from a unique incentive program designed to keep our officers motivated to a ground breaking, web-based vulnerabilities assessment software.

• Museum Management Staffing Solutions

Finally, with a click of a mouse...your scheduling operation is accessible down to the smallest detail when your museum becomes a CPPG client.

CPPG’s Museum Management Staffing Solution is a break through software that enables museums to:

  • Track the number of hours security officers work on different sites, shifts and pay rates.
  • Track overtime in all categories you choose, accurate charge back reports, training hours and cost.
  • Generate the most complex schedules far into the future.
  • Generate many “audit trail” reports.
  • Generate numerous types of budget projection reports.
History

The Museum Management Staffing Solution originally was developed to handle the scheduling and logistical complexities of the Super Bowl where 4,000 people worked on various events on different locations at different pay scales charged to different companies.  Now it has been adapted just for CPPG client museums with complex scheduling needs.

Capabilities
The Museum Management Staffing Solution is flexible and can be adapted to fit MOCA’s needs.  It streamlines your operations by its ability to:

  • Track the number of hours officer works different shifts, different sites with different pay rates (in the same day), and to what department/entity/outside organization these hours should be charged to.
  • Generate schedules, using your templates, in seconds.
  • Generate reports on overtime, charge backs, etc., that can be used for budgeting purposes.
  • Track the number of hours an officer works, notifying scheduler when officer has hit maximum number of hours, therefore avoiding overtime pay.
  • Track who authorized what (like overtime, etc.) or who authorized what scheduling change, therefore minimizing favoritism, maximizing accountability.
  • Schedule changes occur in "real time", so supervisors/managers do not have to waste their time waiting for a fax to come in. Schedules are automatically date/time stamped to confirm the most current information.
  • Notify manager/supervisor when officer*s training certification/license expires.  The program can "refuse" to schedule someone whose certification/license has expired.
  • Schedule up to 4000 people a day.
Operational Advantages
  • Cut down on overtime costs.
  • Free your time up to focus on core responsibilities.
  • Managers/supervisors/officers can access current information no matter where they are by checking the web site and using their sign on name/access code.
  • Officers (with managerial approval) can access their own personal schedule from anywhere.
  • Program is user friendly and intuitive.  It does not require special technical expertise.  Majority of users are non-technical people. Program can be learned in a week.
  • Areas of information included in the personnel file:  certifications & licenses (first aid, fire extinguisher, weapons, etc.), uniform measurements, special areas of  the facilities (front gate, front desk, control room, etc.) that require specialized  knowledge
  • Interface with payroll and HR programs like People Soft, Microsoft Great Plains, etc. , for added versatility
  • Ensured program integrity.
  • Web based, protected by state-of-the-art security systems and multiple fire walls.  Back-up of information kept off site, in a highly secured location (same location where Bank of America and Yahoo store their information).
  • Technical support.  We will send trainers to the institution to train scheduling staff.
  • Training typically takes only 2 days!
  • Detailed users manual.
  • Hotline for questions.

“We are excited that CIVA tools will enable the cultural community to protect themselves by taking advantage of the latest security technologies and the best minds in the cultural security, safety and conservation fields,” said Wilbur Faulk, Executive Vice President of the Cultural Property Protection Group.  “Security and safety are key priorities for cultural institutions around the US and the world.  CIVA provides each museum with its own, affordable security consultant.  You can’t beat that price!”

It’s as Simple As Clicking the Mouse
CPPG museum clients simply go online to register at the secured CIVA site.  After entering your user name and pass code, you answer a comprehensive survey of questions by clicking on the appropriate response(s) with your mouse.  CIVA features a unique “protocol gateway” that builds upon each of your responses to generate an accurate and detailed portrait of your institution and its unique capabilities.

At the end of the survey, CIVA analyzes your information and integrates it into an assessment noting your organization’s strengths and vulnerabilities.  In addition, the report lists practical suggestions to help improve operational performance.

Besides a thorough analysis, each module also will provide registered clients with a priority based assessment for decision-making purposes.  CIVA can help institutions to manage their security and risk management programs more efficiently as well as help reduce errors and expenses.
